I would've like a mention of Ned as a new character though, after Georgie - he's a quirky fellow who grew on me. And it's a really interesting spin on a 'sequal' of sorts in that it's told from a different character's perspective but we still get an insight into what the rest of the bunch are up to.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9005037379064329761.post-20916113399958932612010-02-27T07:39:14.042+11:002010-02-27T07:39:14.042+11:00Just wanted to recommend you this site: http://www...Just wanted to recommend you this site: http://www.netgalley.com

you can get ARC for free on it =) All you have to do id follow the instructions there... and they have ARCs for Kindle hehe

I got a few just today and I cant wait to read them!

xoxoAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18029884909672059641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9005037379064329761.post-2662932477085971862010-02-27T07:14:53.826+11:002010-02-27T07:14:53.826+11:00Chelle - definitely read 'Saving Francesca'...Chelle - definitely read 'Saving Francesca' purely because it's an *AMAZING* book. If you read that one first you'll appreciate the minor romance story between two secondary characters in 'Piper's'. But 'The Piper's Son' could stand on its own, definitely. You absolutely *must* read a Marchetta book - she is the epitome of YA fiction in Australia.

Patti - I thought the same thing initially - heavy subject matter, best to space it out. But I got through it in one day because I just couldn't put it down. Marchetta doesn't lay on the heavy stuff constantly, she includes plenty of breathing room with funny stuff and romance.Daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08440460463119645788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9005037379064329761.post-54374543055050422082010-02-27T05:00:12.384+11:002010-02-27T05:00:12.384+11:00This book sounds like one I would not be able to r...This book sounds like one I would not be able to read in one sitting. Or can it stand on its own? I've never read Marchetta - though I do have FINNIKIN OF THE ROCK on my shelf and have wanted to read JELICOE ROAD for some time now. So many people say so many good things about this author, one day I'm just going to have to read something by her!
