You are not alone: Why we need more Indigenous writers and characters in Australian YA

☼
My first blog for Kill Your Darlings is out in the world today!

'You are not alone: Why we need more Indigenous writers and characters in Australian YA' was partly inspired by Sue McPherson's fabulous debut Grace Beside Me and Ambelin Kwaymullina's The Interrogation of Ashala Wolf (review coming soon!) - and I interviewed both authors for my piece.

I'll be blogging a bit more for KYD in 2013, with a focus on young adult literature - so watch this space.
