Anna Godbersen's 'Luxe' series coming to the big screen

Perez Hilton today posted news that Josh Schwartz (creator of teen-sensations 'The O.C' and 'Gossip Girl') would be adapting Anna Godbersen's young adult series 'The Luxe' for the big screen. The film is already being conceived as a youthful Moulin Rouge for the 19th century upper-crust young New York set.

I haven't read 'The Luxe', but I adored Godbersen's 2010 'Bright Young Things', and I have heard high-praise for her original series.

I love the idea of a Moulin-Rouge inspired, 19th century teen melodrama. So I might just have to devour this whole book series and jump on the fan band-wagon!

  1. Wow. Thanks so much for posting this! I have not read The Luxe series (I own the first book so far), but I also read Bright Young Things and it so far still sits among my favourites list.

I hope it doesn't get going until a bit later, because it's going to take me some time to get reading the whole series!
