Graphic novels and ‘reluctant readers’


My new piece for Kill Your Darlings is Graphic novels and ‘reluctant readers’ in which I talk to the wonderful Adele Walsh (from Persnickety Snark) about how awesome graphic novels are, and why they should be embraced in the modern classroom.

  1. I went through a short period of reading comic books as a kid, but somehow have never really gotten into graphic novels as an adult. I keep meaning to try PERSEPOLIS, though, and one of my husband's favorite books ever is MAUS.
